They live high up in the desert mountains around mineral deposits and hunt and live in packs. They will charge at prey with their fangs to lacerate critical points. Primarily walking on all fours, but they are able to get around on their hind limbs as well at a slower pace. Occasionally they can be seen sharpening their fangs on metal deposits in the mineral rich areas they inhabit. Their fur is wirey and tough with a bristley appearance like copper. Their darker fur patches on the back of their necks are softer, their young will climb on and bite onto these patches for a ride on the adults.
