Primarily walking on all fours, but they are able to get around on their hind limbs as well at a slower pace. Occasionally they can be seen sharpening their fangs on metal deposits in the mineral rich areas they inhabit. Their fur is wirey and tough with a bristley appearance like copper. Their darker fur patches on the back of their necks are softer, their young will climb on and bite onto these patches for a ride on the adults.
